Freelance Presenter Roles

Our freelancer presenter roles are a great way to earn money,  gain experience of working in the education sector, develop your presentation skills and use your scientific knowledge in a different environment. All whilst being flexible on when you want to work.

The flexibility comes from there being no commitment to take up any of the shifts we have available. You get to pick and choose which days you want to work depending on your schedule and availability.

Being one of our presenters does entail travelling around the UK to different schools so you would have to stop away from home fairly regularly if you sign up to a shift. We pay for all the travel, hotels and food too.

All applicants must be able to drive and pass an enhanced DBS check. We have a van and two cars that you can drive too, so you don’t need your own vehicle.

We are based in the West Midlands, so our ideal presenters will be based in this area to make the logistics of moving our kit around easier.  However we are happy to hear from applicants all over the UK.

Pay, workshops and training

Pay is typically £95 per day with opportunities to earn more on special projects. We cover the cost of hotels, food and travel too.

As a workshop presenter, you would be speaking to groups of 30 – 200 teenagers at a time, so you must be comfortable with this.

A workshop is typically a lesson in duration (50-70minutes) and we repeat the workshop 4 to 6 times over the day. Workshops are delivered with a colleague and consist of a 15-20minute intro followed by hands on activities using our kit for the rest of the lesson.

Training takes place in two ways.

We run an induction day once per month that everyone that joins us can must attend. Secondly, we train you on the job! In this scenario we send you to a school with an experience member of our current team and they’ll start to show you the ropes

How to Apply
