The Ultimate NHS Career Finder Video
Perfect for years 9 to 13

Choosing the right career in the NHS can be tricky, especially when there are over 350 to choose from.

When your students have chosen a career in the NHS, how do they know what to study at school, college or university? What grades do they need? What courses are available to them?

Do they know there are certain careers in the NHS that REQUIRE them to study a specific degree or course at University?

It can be an absolute minefield!

Luckily for you and your students, this short video shows you how to use the NHS Health Careers website to discover which careers have specific university courses and how to find them and then figure their route through school, college and Uni!

The Switcher - Career Fortune Teller
Great for years 4 to 8!

Remember those fortune tellers you made at school all those years ago? You’f fold a piece of paper several times, colour in the squares on the front, number the inside and write a message of some kind inside. They were usually romantic or rude…

We’ve made our own, but it is all to do with discovering different careers in the NHS. You can download and print your own templates to make yours in class!

Just click the button below to download the PDF version to print off and make your Career Fortune Teller!

Again, feel free to share without restriction.

Medical Engineering Assembly

Feel free to use this in assembly or tutor time to introduce a little know area of the NHS – Medical Engineering!

We look at how engineers don’t always have to invent whizz bang electronic devices!

We show how they have created novel adaptations to combine iPhones & ophthalmoscopes, how surgeons used engineers to assist in screwing bones together and finally how they had to redesign the ‘patient journey’ to make their equipment more children friendly!

Beatrice's Collar Bone X-Rays

You may not know, but Walt Disney broke my daughter’s collar bone.

True story… she was 2 years old and wearing one of Belle’s dresses from Beauty and the Beast. She slipped on the fabric when walking down the stairs and broke her collar bone!

You can clearly see the break on the X-Ray.

However, can you spot the THREE other awesome bits of physiology on this fab X-Ray?

Click the button below to download the PowerPoint of the X-Ray and the answers to this question.

Tom's Wonky Toe X-Ray

After stubbing his big toe on the stairs, Tom dislocated the final bone (or phalange) in his big toe.

You can clearly see the bone is not in the right position in this X-Ray.

If you want to share this with you class, feel free to download the PowerPoint slide of the X-Ray as well as an image of what his Toe actually looks like!

Probably best not to eat anything whilst looking at Tom’s toes!
