4,5 & 6
times a day
This workshop is a great introduction to medical and health careers. Your pupils will be able to get hands on with real medical kit in the classroom, including: taking blood from fake arm, recording an ECG from their heart, see their bones and muscles with an ultrasound machine, take a picture of the inside of their eye with an iPhone, take basic medical observations, test their lungs with a peak flow and experience different eye diseases with the pathology goggles!
They all get a workbook to record their results in as well as a print out of their very own ECG to take home and stick on the fridge!
We cover everything from the usual doctors, nurses & paramedics to the lesser known physiologists, lab scientists, engineers, I.T coders… it’s all about giving them a taste of what is out there to drive those aspirations!
The workshop is perfect for years 4, 5 & 6.
Each workshop can be 45-90minutes long, so we can visit for the day and organise 3-5 sessions around your timetable. We may have to some jiggery pokery with breaks to maximise the day for your pupils, but nothing too major.
We like to be in one location such as a classroom or hall for the day and need around 8 -10 tables.
The workshop includes a 15-20minute intro on how to use the kit and rest is hands on! Two members of the team help pupils with the kit through out the session, but it would be great if a teacher or T.A is around to help out too.
Fill in the form below and we will send you a proposal for a day of awesomeness at your school!
